The disciples return to tell Jesus about the work he had sent them to do. Take a few moments today to look back over the past week to those times when you, like the disciples, did works of charity or mercy. Offer a prayer of gratitude to God for those times you spoke a healing word, or offered comfort to a person in their loss, or welcomed a newcomer to your parish. Ask for the grace to respond to the opportunities that will arise for you this week.
