“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.” These words are hope-filled words but they are also challenging. We know Christ is present when we are gathered for Eucharist. We believe he is present when we are with friends and family. Are we as aware that Christ is present when we are with people who may hold opposing views? Does Christ’s presence make a difference in those situations? Take some time this week to consider these words of Jesus, asking for the grace to be aware of Christ’s presence in all interactions and conversations.
