  • 8-Week Bereavement Program

    Tuesday Apr 2, 2024 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

How do you go on living when you've lost someone you love and your heart is broken? Where do you find comfort, understanding and some coping skills to help you get through the most difficult time in your life? This spring Incarnation and Most Blessed Sacrament Parishes will co-sponsor an eight-session Bereavement Program. Among the topics are: symptoms of grief, different ways people grieve, dealing with feelings of anger and guilt, and how to get through holidays and special occasions.

During each evening’s presentation there will be time to share, if you so desire.

Meetings will be held at Incarnation Church, Melrose, on the following TUESDAY evenings: MARCH 19, 26; APRIL 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; MAY 7, from 7:30 to 9:00PM. Our reunion meeting will be on June 4th. Pat McConville, who has training in bereavement and pastoral issues, and Christine Primiano, who is also experienced in supporting the bereaved, will facilitate the group. Please call Pat at 781-454-5394, to find out more about the program or to register. This is a time to come together with others who are also grieving, to better understand what you're experiencing, and to find hope and support in a faith community.

    Tuesday Apr 9, 2024 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

A Biblical Walk Through the MassA Powerful Bible Study on the Mass
Coming this Spring a the Woburn Catholic Collaborative

The Mass is nothing short of amazing. Through it, we encounter God in the most intimate way possible as we hear him speak to us in the Liturgy of the Word and as we receive him Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Holy Eucharist. In his video-based study A Biblical Walk Through the Mass, Dr. Edward Sri explores the roots of the words and gestures we experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. This fascinating tour of the Mass will renew your faith and deepen your love for and devotion to the Holy Eucharist.

Join us for A Biblical Walk Through the Mass, sponsored by The Woburn Catholic Collaborative of St. Anthony of Padua and St. Barbara Parishes and to be held at St. Barbara Church - Father Anadore Hall on April 9, 16, 23 and May 14 & 21 at 6:30 PM. The cost is $30 which includes the workbook and access to the videos and online workbook for one year. An online registration form can be found on our website, www.woburncatholic.org. Deadline to register is March 8. If you have any questions, please contact deacon.ed.giordano@gmail.com.
