Saturday, January 21st, Sacred Heart, Lynn Forming Disciples in Mission is a one-day training that will support all those involved in a Collaborative to develop a common language and skill set for the work of the New Evangelization. During the session, participants will learn how to share personal testimony and form disciples, develop an understanding of what makes evangelizing parishes, and discuss practical ways to evangelize in parish life. We encourage all adults to participate, but especially all leaders in the parish including any committee or council members and everyone involved in a ministry. The day will focus on six core sessions: The New Evangelization: Teaching the Art of Living Disciples: Embracing the Call to Holiness Witness: Sharing Personal Testimony Forming Disciples: Living the Great Commission Evangelizing Parishes: Becoming Centers for the New Evangelization Gateway Moments: Evangelizing through Parish Life The day also includes time together in prayer, as well as a meal (lunch and a light breakfast for daytime workshops, dinner for evening workshops). This workshop is free for any and all collaborative participants and any and all Archdiocesan clergy. The day will be from 9am -3:45pm in Sacred Heart Hall. St. Eulalia Church, Winchester DIVORCECARE is a 13-week program of healing and support for those who have experienced divorce. The next series begins on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at 7:00pm in the Msgr. McGann Conference Room (off the parking lot) at Saint Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester. Each week there is a video presentation on the challenges that divorced people face, followed by a discussion and prayer. The sessions last approximately 90 minutes. 29 St Patrick School Open House
On January 29th following the noon Mass there will be an Open House and art show throughout the school. Both buildings will be open and all the teachers will be in their classrooms to talk about what their year has looked like and answer any questions a prospective family may have. This is a great opportunity to see and hear about all the great things that St. Patrick School has, is and will be doing. There is no better time than now to join the St. Patrick School family with so much positive word of mouth and exciting new initiatives for next year! There will be many fun and meaningful events throughout the week. Since service is an integral part of a Catholic School each one of the older grades will be pairing with a lower grade and they will be performing a service project during that week. Members of the healing team will be available to lay on hands and pray for individual needs and healing. Fr. Liias will be available to hear confessions.
