    Thursday Mar 1, 2018 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

    Bishop Robert Barron continues his journey to explore a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the Church, but changed the course of Western civilization. This Lent, we'll focus on John Henry Newman & G.K. Chesterton, and we'll look at Michelangelo's gifted expressions of faith.

    Blessed John Henry Newman: The Convert, left a prestigious career to seek & preach the apostolic faith.

    G.K. Chesterton: The Evangelist, publicly, humbly, and humorously announced the paradoxes and truth of Christianity.

    Michelangelo: The Artist, dramatically demonstrated that beauty & creativity are primary routes of access to God.

    Thursday Evenings:
    7:00 - 8:30 PM
    February 8, 15, 22 & March 1, 8, 15, 22

    Registration: Please register by February 4th to ensure seats and materials for all.

    Fee: There is a $25 fee for new participants to cover the cost of books / $10 for returning participants who have already purchased the book.

  • Irish Dance

    Sunday Mar 4, 2018 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

    Kick off the St. Patrick’s Day season with an afternoon of music, dancing and fun! Following the noontime mass on March 4, 2018 St. Patrick School students and parents will play and sing some Irish classics, and Irish step dancers from the McGonagle School of Irish Dance will entertain us in Our Lady of Providence Hall. Bagels and pastries will be served, and prizes from the Boston Celtics and the Gingerbread Construction Company will be raffled off. No tickets needed, but donations will be welcome to cover the cost of the dancers and the food. All proceeds will be donated to St. Patrick School. If anyone would like to bake (especially Irish bread) or help decorate, please contact Christina Gagne at 617-827-6242 or christinagagne@hotmail.com. We look forward to seeing you!

  • Calling All Girl Scouts

    Join us for the Girl Scout Sunday Mass on March 11 at 10:00 am in the Upper Church at St. Patrick’s Parish, Stoneham, MA

    This is a chance to meet, befriend and support fellow scouts! It is dedicated to all Girl Scouts and their leaders, so be sure to wear your vest or sash!

    A reception will follow the Mass, with fellowship in Our Lady of Providence Hall. Light refreshments will be served. Donations of (peanut- and nut-free) snacks and beverages are appreciated, and can be dropped off before Mass in OLPH.

    Join us for this incredible experience of forgiveness, love and joy. “Resurrection”, a musical cantata, is the inspirational story of Simon Peter and the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The performance leads the audience on an unforgettable spiritual journey with St. Peter as he faces his martyrdom. Peter recalls his own experiences with Christ as well as those he shared with Mary Magdalene and the disciples as they followed Jesus.

    The Commission on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren invites grandparents and kinship caregivers to attend any of the following regional workshops throughout Massachusetts. The workshops are three hours long and will include a guest speaker who will cover topics important to relative caregivers. Presentations will be followed by an information panel, which includes representatives from agencies who work with grandparents raising grandchildren such as DTA, DCF, Masshealth, WIC, Elder Services and more.
