  • 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Saint Patrick School

    Wednesday Jul 6, 2016 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM

The Mystic Runners group, formerly led by St. Patrick’s dad, Rich Fortuna, holds a 5K run around Wakefield’s Lake Quannapowitt each Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. Once a month, the group donates the proceeds from the 5K to a charity, and St. Patrick School has generously been named as the charity for this July!

So, don your athletic shoes, meet up with school friends and get a little exercise together this summer! All ages are welcome but please be sure younger students run/walk alongside an adult.

We’ll meet at the entrance to the Lakeside Inn at 595 North Avenue in Wakefield between 6:00 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. to sign waivers, pin on numbers, and kick off this fun event on July 6, 2016. The race starts promptly at 6:45 p.m. The running group has guides along the course and some treats and beverages at the finish. (Walkers should start at the back of the pack.)

The cost for these weekly runs is $2 per person, but participants usually add extra money for the charity run each month. So, $2 per person is the minimum you must spend, but we’ll shoot for a goal of $10 per adult.

Please contact Christina Gagne at christinagagne@hotmail.com with any questions. Otherwise, let’s get moving to raise some money for the school!

  • Liturgical Ministers Summer Renewal Evening Prayer

    Tuesday Jul 12, 2016 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

During the Summer months, we often take time to reflect on the beauty of God’s wondrous creation.
We relish long days of warm sunshine, an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, and the riotous colors
of flowers blooming around every corner. We also take time away from our usual routines to enjoy family
and friends, and to remind ourselves what is truly important.

During these awesome days of refreshment, I invite all liturgical ministers (ushers, musicians, sextons,
altar servers (and parents!), Eucharistic ministers and lectors to gather together for some spiritual
renewal consisting of quiet morning or evening (or both!) prayer, followed by an opportunity for fellowship
    and conversation.

Evening Prayer: Tuesday, July 12 7:00 pm in the Upper Church
Morning Prayer: Tuesday, August 9 at 9:30 am in the Upper Church

  • Learn More about the Catholic Faith

    Thursday Jul 28, 2016 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or do you know someone who the Spirit is calling to Catholicism, or someone who would like to receive the Sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation? During the summer months, we welcome adults who are interested in learning more about Catholicism to join us for informal conversations about Catholic faith and traditions in preparation for the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program beginning this fall. We will meet the last Thursday of the month during June, July, August, and September, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the Youth/Multi-purpose Room. For more information, please call Patrice Fitzpatrick at 781-438-0200 or just plan to drop in.
