  • St. Eulalia 6-Week Grief Support Group

    Tuesday Oct 2, 2018 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

    St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester, is offering a Bereavement Support Group which will meet in McCarthy Hall (there is ample parking in the front, church lot.) for six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm beginning September 11th, 2018 and continuing through October 16, 2018.

    Topics will include an overview of the bereavement process, signs and symptoms of grief, feelings associated with bereavement, and the uniqueness of each person’s grief experience. Participants will have the opportunity to share their stories with one another in a caring and supportive atmosphere.

    Since we have limited space, please pre-register by Tuesday, September 4th. There is no fee, but a voluntary donation to cover the cost of materials is appreciated. To register for the group or to obtain further information, please call Barbara Mahoney, Pastoral Care Coordinator, at 781-729 8220, ext. 16.

The Event begins at 3:30 pm with the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by the Rosary at 4:00 pm, Eucharistic Procession and Benediction.   • Evening of Remembrance for Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death

    Miscarriage and the death of an infant are tragic, painful losses that many people carry in their hearts. Friends and loved ones often do not understand such grief and how to help. On Wednesday, October 10, we invite you to join us for a service of recognition and healing for anyone who is grieving the loss of a pregnancy or the death of an infant. Our evening offers a prayerful gathering of community, an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and conversation with others who are journeying along this difficult path. All adults are welcome.

  • Confirmation Commitment Ceremony

    The Confirmation II program for high school candidates who have completed their first year of sacramental preparation and will be receiving Confirmation in the spring of 2019 will begin with a Commitment Ceremony during the 6 pm Mass on October 14th.

    All candidates and parents are expected to attend Mass that evening and pews will be reserved for them at the front of the church.

  • Group Wedding - Be Blessed by the Bishop

    Are you or someone close to you married but not with the blessing of the Church? Would you like to be married by a bishop? Bishop Mark O’Connell has organized a group wedding for those in the North Region of the Archdiocese of Boston: Friday, October 19, 2018, at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere beginning at 6:00 pm. The ceremony will be designed for couples not married in the Church to validate their marriages before Bishop Mark.
    During the wedding ceremony, each couple will say their vows separately before the bishop and their two witnesses.

    To sign up, each of the couples should be endorsed by their parish as free to marry and adequately prepared. Please register ahead of time with the Office of the Regional Bishop - North Region, 978-531-1013. There will be no cost to the couples. Dress as you are comfortable. The number of guests allowed will be determined by the number of couples registered.

This is a first-class Relic, a particle of the arm of Good St. Anne, Mother of Mary and Grandmother of Jesus. It is one of the main relics venerated at the Basilica of St. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec, Canada.

    Special emphasis is given to prayers for the sick, the afflicted and for peace.

  • The Kids Healthy Minds Initiative

    Seminar about the Mental Health of Our Youth: “The Kids Healthy Minds Initiative” This program is run by the Archdiocese of Boston and the “Franciscan Children’s” which is a Catholic pediatric hospital in Boston. The Seminar will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Saint Theresa Church Hall, 63 Winter Street, North Reading.

    The program strives to increase community awareness on the downstream effects of untreated youth mental illness including; substance abuse, suicide, early involvement in criminal justice system and increase in school drop outs. With 50% of all mental illness being present by age 14 and 75% by age 24, it is essential that our parish staff and parishioners understand signs and symptoms of mental illness to help increase early detection.
