  • Mass of Remembrance

    Friday Nov 2, 2018 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

November is a month dedicated to praying for the deceased. The catechism tells us that “from the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God” (CCC, 1032). We carry on this rich tradition of praying for the dead with the celebration of the Mass being the highest form of prayer we can offer for our loved ones.

Please join us for a special Mass of Remembrance on Friday evening, November 2nd, at 7:00 PM. On this, the Feast of All Souls, when the Church commemorates all the faithful departed, we of Saint Patrick Parish will remember our own beloved dead. As we gather and pray, we will announce the names of those who were buried from this parish over the past year, and we will pray for all those whose names are inscribed in the Book of Remembrance.

All are welcome to join us for this special commemoration followed by light refreshments in Our Lady of Providence Hall.
