2021 Walk for the Poor

Walk for the Poor

St Vincent de Paul Walk for the Poor

Help support the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Patrick Parish!

The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides food and other emergency assistance to local residents in need. Just think – when the winter storms begin to blow, there will be families right here in Stoneham who will have a good meal and heat in their homes as a direct result of your efforts. Each year our Walk raises thousands of dollars for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at St. Patrick. Thanks for helping to make this event a success! ALL ARE WELCOME!

Date: Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

Location: Saint Patrick Parish

Participants will walk twice around the Saint Patrick Parish block (1 mile). The walk will start exactly at 9:00 a.m. in the large Saint Patrick Parish parking lot and end in the same spot. Make sure to bring some water!

IMPORTANT: The Saint Patrick parish parking lot will be blocked off. Please allow extra time to find a spot to park around the parish to park and walk to the parking lot.

Service Opportunity: This is a great opportunity for students to complete Christian Service hours for Religious Education! Students earn 1 hour of Christian Service for every $10 they raise in donations!

Participants are asked to register by completing the Walker Sponsor Form and donating $10. Participants are encouraged to get sponsors who will donate an additional $10 (or more) in support of the walker. Walker Sponsor forms and donations can be returned to Saint Patrick Parish on the morning of the walk. (Checks should be made out to Saint Patrick Parish with Saint Vincent de Paul written in the memo.)

Participants not walking with a parent are required to complete the online waiver form to participate in this event. Please follow this link to complete our online waiver form. https://forms.gle/tHY9DXJL4HDNAxe47

Physical copies of the waiver form will also be available for families the morning of the walk.

Please feel free to email the Religious Education staff for details or questions at [email protected].
