Dear Church,
As we prepare for the holiday season during this unique time in our lives, we have still had the opportunity to gather together in prayer and Liturgy giving thanks to God for His unconditional love for each one of us. In our personal prayer let us remember that we have been called together as disciples at this time and in this place to work towards our mission: to act justly, love and serve one another, and walk humbly with God.
I bring all of this up as later this week we will celebrate Thanksgiving Day, when we traditionally give gratitude to Almighty God for the blessings He bestows upon us. Please know that your presence, prayers, and support of our community are a great blessing to us. Thank you for your commitment to selfless stewardship and discipleship. We are most grateful to you for the manner in which you share your love… for God… for the Eucharist… for the Church… and for your parish…
Each week as we stand before you we ask for your prayers; please remember us and the other Priests that have faithfully served our parish as well as the entire parish and school staff. Your prayers for us are greatly appreciated as we strive to serve you and your family. Know that we are praying for you, your loved ones, and your intentions. As we begin anew this Advent season, may we meet each day in our prayers as we walk together as witnesses to the presence of God’s love and to that hope which will never disappoint!
