On this Divine Mercy Sunday, our scriptures give us clear instruction about how we are to live as disciples. In the reading from Acts, the author describes the disciples’ way of life: “They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.” Teaching, prayer and Eucharist, sound familiar? If we are to live as faithful disciples, we also need to hear the words of Jesus in the gospel, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” Nourished by prayer and our reception of Holy Communion – bring the peace and mercy of Christ to those you meet today.
