In our first reading from Isaiah the Lord tells us, “See, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” As disciples of Christ, speaking about our faith and the importance of prayer and sacraments is a new experience. While it can be difficult and takes practice, it is worth the effort. Saint Paul’s goal and the goal he encourages the Philippians to adopt should be our goal as well: “I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus”. How willing are you to pursue to goal of living a life rooted in Christ Jesus?
