Today’s Gospel presents a “best practice” for us about the work of evangelization. In it we hear that Andrew, not only heard about Jesus, but he also stayed with him. Having been so moved by his encounter with Jesus, he went and told his brother Peter about Jesus and brought him to Jesus. We know the “rest of the story” of Peter’s discipleship but it is important to remember that Andrew was evangelizer to his brother. What about you? Who are you being called to bring to Jesus?
