Divine Mercy Sunday Retreat
Jesus I Trust in You! The first Sunday following Easter is called Divine Mercy Sunday and that phrase is the touchstone of the day. On that day, any person who will “go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment” (Faustina Diary 699). Those words are Jesus’ promise shared to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, an early 20th century Polish nun canonized by Pope St. John Paul II.
From 1:30pm-5pm on April 11, 2021, Upper Church, St. Patrick celebrated this tremendous gift of Divine Mercy with the following events:
- 1:30pm Reflection on Divine Mercy
- Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
- Confessions begin (2pm-4pm)
- 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary
- 5pm Benediction
For those who were unable to attend, the retreat and Mass was recorded.
