  • Mass of Remembrance

    Tuesday Nov 2, 2021 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that “from the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God” (CCC, 1032). One way we carry on this rich tradition of praying for the dead is with the celebration of the Mass of Remembrance each November 2, on the Feast of All Souls.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 2 for the Mass of Remembrance to pray for the repose of the souls of all who have died over the past year and whose birth-to-new-life was celebrated at Saint Patrick Parish. On this commemoration of the Feast of All Souls, when the Church remembers all the faithful departed, we of Saint Patrick Parish will remember our own beloved dead. As we pray together, we will announce the names of those who were buried from this parish over the past year, and pray for all whose names are inscribed in the Book of Remembrance.

The Mass of Remembrance will also be recorded and will be televised on Stoneham-TV on the following dates/times:

    Saturday, November 6 at 9:00 am, 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm
Sunday, November 7 at 3:00 pm
    Monday, November 8 at 3:00 pm & 7:00 pm
    Tuesday, November 9 at 11:00 am & 2:00 pm
