4 | 5 Finding Your Place in the Advent Story
A way that our parish is seeking to prepare for Jesus’ birth and experience true transformation in this powerful season is by engaging with a program from Ascension. This program is Rejoice! Finding Your Place in the Advent Story. We will explore the places, meet the people, and experience the events that shaped the first Advent, and find our place in the story. By immersing ourselves in the environment that God’s people were living in as they prepared for the Messiah, we will experience this sacred season in a new way. We will meet in person from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on the four Mondays of Advent - November 28, and December 5, 12 and 19. There is a journal that goes along with the program for a cost of $10. Please contact Diane McCarthy, Pastoral Associate if you would like to join in this special time of preparation for the birth of Christ at Christmas. Diane can be reached at 781-438-0200 or [email protected]. | 6 | 7 Protecting God’s Children Training
All parish staff and volunteers are required to attend a safe environment program called 'Protecting God's Children.’ Training will be held in the Parish Pastoral Council Room. Please contact Diane McCarthy at 781-438-0200 or [email protected] to register. Finding Your Place in the Advent Story
Monday Dec 5, 2022 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Advent is a special season for the Church — it is the time when the world prepares to celebrate anew the coming of Christ. Often, we lose sight of the point of this season because we get caught up in our preparations for Christmas and arrive at Christmas no more transformed than we were at the start of Advent.
