Reverend Mario J. Orrigo
Saint Patrick Parish
71 Central Street
Stoneham, MA 02180

Dear Fr. Mario,

It is with deepest gratitude to God and to you for the opportunity of serving the community of Saint Patrick Parish for nearly 14 years in addition to 10 years as a volunteer in Religious Education) that I offer my resignation from the position of Pastoral Associate.

My last day at Saint Patrick will be Thursday, September 30, 2021. Brian and I will be relocating to Virginia to be closer to our son, Chris. In October, I will begin working in a small parish, Our Lady of Victory, in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.

My tenure as the Assistant Director of Religious Education for 5 years, followed by more than 8 years as Pastoral Associate, has been filled with blessings. It has been a privilege to help children realize how much God loves them; to accompany young adults as they explore the Catholic faith and come to know the Lord; to walk with the bereaved in their time of sorrow; to share the joy of receiving the Eucharist with the homebound and infirm; to train and support volunteers who desire to share their gifts; and to work daily with such dedicated clergy and staff who strive to be a reflection of God's love for others.

I ask for your prayers for our family in this new endeavor and I will continue to pray for the Saint Patrick Community. You will all remain close in my heart.

Best WishesWith love, prayers, and deep appreciation,

Patrice P. Fitzpatrick
