Is living with a persistent health condition preventing you from really living?

Join us for a FREE six-session community workshop designed to give adults with chronic conditions (such as arthritis, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, asthma) and/or their caregivers the knowledge and skills needed to take a more active role in their healthcare.

Learn strategies developed and tested by researchers including ways to:

  • use exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance
  • use techniques that can improve your quality of life
  • communicate effectively with family, friends and health professionals
  • manage frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation
  • evaluate new treatment
  • use medication and nutrition appropriately

When: Choose from one of two groups:

Group 1: Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
from July 21-August 25


Group 2: Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m.
from July 23-August 27
