SEEKING ANSWERS TO LIFE’S WEIGHTY QUESTIONS?
Join Our R.C.I.A. Gatherings
Adversity often leads us to consider the deeper questions of life. During this time of pandemic, we are apt to see things from a different perspective than we might have done just a few months ago. Many of us find ourselves thinking about the bigger picture: questioning what was once so clear to us, or wondering about our purpose in this life.
Illness, death, and suffering often bring these types of questions to the forefront, for obvious reasons. These past months of COVID-19 crisis, with months more of uncertainty ahead, are no different. As we face challenges to our health and finances, and witness injustice and division around us, our hearts turn to the more weighty questions of life and seek more profound answers.
The same may also be true for times of joy and new beginnings, such as surround marriage and the birth of children. In these blessings, as in times of adversity, our hearts seek the transcendent.
If you find yourself considering these deeper thoughts or seeking answers to life’s bigger questions, I encourage you to delve into the mysteries of life and seek answers in relationship with Jesus Christ. I invite you to join our gatherings of the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and explore what God might be leading you to consider.
If you are not baptized, were baptized in another Christian faith, or are an unconfirmed Catholic, call Diane McCarthy at 781-438-0200 for more information about the Saint Patrick Parish R.C.I.A. program. All are welcome and there is no commitment required to explore life’s purpose in relationship with Jesus grounded in the Catholic faith. I hope to speak with you soon.
