Healing Liturgy for loss of Life in the Womb

On Wednesday evening, February 1st, Saint Patrick Parish will offer a prayer service for healing after the loss of life in the womb. If you or a loved one has experienced loss due to miscarriage, still birth, or abortion, please join us for a service of recognition and healing beginning at 7:30pm at Saint Patrick Parish, 71 Central Street, Stoneham. Our guest speaker/musician this evening is Jaymie Stuart Wolfe, a Catholic convert, wife and mother of eight mostly-grown children, who strives to both answer and echo God’s universal call to holiness. Jaymie has authored and edited numerous books for both adults and children. She collaborates with the Daughters of St. Paul as a full time editor at Pauline Books & media. Under Loaves and Fishes Ministry, she serves the mission of Christ in word and song as an author, columnist, speaker and musician. Jaymie is a co-founder of Life + Jesus, a group embracing the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales and focused on the Works of Mercy in daily life.
This evening will include opportunities for prayer, the sacrament of Reconciliation, and conversation with others who have experienced similar loss. DIVORCECARE is a 13-week program of healing and support for those who have experienced divorce. The next series begins on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at 7:00pm in the Msgr. McGann Conference Room (off the parking lot) at Saint Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester.
Each week there is a video presentation on the challenges that divorced people face, followed by a discussion and prayer. The sessions last approximately 90 minutes. The cost for a workbook and materials is $15. If you would like to attend, please call Marge McGlone at 617 633-8967.
Divorce is extremely painful. We hope the DIVORCECARE will aid the healing process.

Teen Bus Trip to LIFT Event in Nashua, NH!

Saint Patrick Religious Education and Deacon Joe Cooley are pleased to invite all parish teens in Grade 8 - 12 to join us on a bus trip to Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua, NH on Tuesday, February 21st for a LIFT Worship Night designed to motivate and inspire young people to live their Catholic faith. LIFT events feature live music, dynamic speakers and Eucharistic Adoration. The featured speaker will be Father Matt Williams, the director of Faith Formation of Youth and Young Adults in the Archdiocese of Boston. Seats are limited, so be sure to sign up early.
All Religious Education students who participate will receive 2 hours of Christian service and an additional hour if they sign up with a friend! Participants will be asked to make a minimum contribution of $10 each to defray the cost of pizza and transportation. We will be departing for Nashua at promptly 6:00pm and students are asked to arrive at Our Lady of Providence Hall no later than 5:30pm to sign in and have a bite to eat before getting on the bus.
