Are you prepared to welcome Jesus? In many ways the story of Jesus’ birth has become too familiar. The visit of an angel and a virgin giving birth in a stable have been romanticized in our holiday crèche scenes. Join us in reflecting on Edward Sri’s Dawn of the Messiah: The Coming of Christ in Scripture to trace the nativity’s roots in the Old Testament and uncover the shocking power of God’s plan to save us. Together, we will endeavor to gain a deeper understanding of the great mystery of God’s love in the Incarnation of his Son as we prepare for Jesus this Christmas.
