kuyxkb18pkuxx80bx7yp7fdtv6l.pngDeacon Michael Rora will be ordained Father Michael Rora on May 19th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Boston. The Ordination is at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend.

Michael has been a member of St. Patrick’s Parish since his family moved to Stoneham from Endicott, NY when he was in kindergarten. He has been an active member of the music ministry, along with his twin sister Mary, and brother John.

It was during the St. Patrick Youth Group mission trip to San Bartolo, Peru that Michael began to consider his calling to priesthood.

Michael attended Stoneham High School, where he ran cross country. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Integrative Biology. While at the University of Illinois, he worked in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

Right after college, Michael entered St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, where he shared his love of sacred music as part of their scholastics.

During his seminarian assignment at St. John the Evangelist in Townsend, he helped the Youth Group prepare for their participation in World Youth Day. Michael was blessed to be able to travel with them to Poland for this amazing event.

He is currently serving at St. Thomas the Apostle and St. John the Baptist in Peabody.

Michael will celebrate his Mass of Thanksgiving here at St. Patrick Parish at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 20th. A collation will follow in Our Lady’s Hall. All are invited.
