Dear Church,
I often wonder how many other pastors are as blessed as I am to be able to almost continually have to thank the members of the parish for their amazing generosity! At this time, when the numbers of people coming out to Mass during the pandemic is only a fraction of the usual number who attend Mass regularly, I wanted to thank you for your generous support and update you on all the wonderful things you have helped us to accomplish last year as we initiate the Grand Annual Appeal for this year.
Although the parish has suffered a $104,000 shortfall due to the pandemic, we have taken many steps to ensure the financial stability of the parish. Your generosity throughout has enabled us to continue to make much needed improvements and repairs to the Church, Parish, Rectory and School. It has also allowed us to provide state of the art disinfecting procedures to ensure everyone’s safety to the best of our ability in order that you may come to Mass and receive the Most Blessed Sacrament. It has allowed us to continue to develop online outreach to many in our parish who cannot attend Saint Patrick Parish for one reason or another. However, much like the work of Christ, our work here is not done yet! Our facilities have been providing for us over many, many years and there are still much needed repairs and improvements to be made.
Your contribution to the Parish Grand Annual Appeal will help us to continue to forge forward during this pandemic. Your participation in the Grand Annual Appeal will help us to continue to repair our historical stained-glass windows and exterior trim. Your participation will help us to repoint the masonry around the church building as well as the old entrance staircase. Your participation will help us to realize the renovation of the lower church including the relocation of the Tabernacle to the center of the altar. Finally, your participation in the Grand Annual Appeal will assist us in obtaining a security system for all parish facilities. I know the list is long Church, but it is not insurmountable. Think of everything we have accomplished so far!
