What Saint Patrick School And Catholic Education Means To Me

What St. Patrick School And
Catholic Education Means To Me

Do you ever feel in religion class Jesus is closer to you? I do!! Every day I come to school hoping to learn something awesome. St. Patrick School never disappoints. So be prepared, pack your backpack, and get ready to go to school because I have a story to tell you, about all the wonderful things at St. Patrick School. These wonderful things I am about to tell you about learning like God and Jesus, the holy sacraments, small classes, and after-school activities.

I knew NOTHING about Jesus before I came here. I am not that proud or happy about that. When my sister came here for Pre-K, I was in second grade at Robin Hood. She came home talking about God and Jesus. I just said that was not true, but I was wrong. Ever since I came here, my life has changed. I am proud of it. My fourteen-year-old dog Ody was sick, and he will be 15 in May. I was so scared I might lose him. So, I prayed a bunch of times each day, for him to be safe, and he is still with me today. I learned about Adam and Eve. Now I know so much about religion it is unbelievable!! I feel better about it.

Jesus is making my life better. He helped me with my baptism on December 3, 2022, and my first reconciliation on January 28, 2023. I feel like I am a lot kinder. For some reason, I see things differently. I feel like I can finally make my dream come true to be a singer and make people feel good with my music, my dancing, my acting, and my magic. It has been my dream since I was five years old. While I was going through a really tough time in my life, when I got diagnosed with Celiac Disease, music and singing was the one thing I could depend on. I love the small classes at St. Patrick School. When I was younger, I had a lot of anxiety, and loud noises or big classes set it off. In third grade, every morning I was nervous about going to school. Now I walk to St. Patrick School with my friends and walk home with them. I don't have as many panic attacks, but they still happen, like with loud noises. I used to cry with loud noises but not that often anymore. I came here in third grade. This school is so amazing. I hope everyone sees that. That is why I love the small classes. My anxiety doesn't act up as much.

There are so many cool after-school activities and I love them all. There are activities like Newspaper Club, Basketball, Volleyball, Band, and of course, After School with Mrs. Monti. There are so many nice friends to hang out with. I can't wait to see even more after-school activities, St. Patrick School will offer in the future.

I was the new kid in 3rd grade, and I was welcomed with open arms. I hope everyone is welcomed to St. Patrick's School the same way I was. I was never baptized until December 2022. My Parents wanted me to choose if I wanted to get baptized. Obviously, I did, but I hope whoever has the choice to get baptized chooses to because they were the best days of my life.

I learn something new and awesome every day at St. Patrick School. That is why I love coming to St. Patrick School. I hope if you go to St. Patrick School you do too. This place is such an amazing place. St. Patrick School and Catholic education mean the world to me.
