Weekly Quote

Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus,* because he will save his people from their sins.”
— Mt 1:20-21

Due to the devastation of the attacks on Ukraine and the immigration of millions of victims fleeing the ravages of war, Cardinal Seán has authorized a special collection to be taken up at all parishes next weekend. The proceeds will be sent to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and to the Vatican Agency for outreach to the churches in eastern Europe. If writing a check, please note in the memo “Ukraine Relief”.

For everyone’s safety, if you have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 or is in the process of being tested, you cannot attend Mass for the mandatory fourteen-day quarantine period.

Fourth Sunday of Advent

Luke 1:30-33

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. “Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

December 20 ~ Fourth Sunday of Advent

Today’s Gospel is the familiar story of the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary. Imagine this gospel scene and focus on the conversation between Mary and the Angel. “The Lord is with you.” “Do not be afraid.” “Nothing is impossible for God.” “Let it be done to me according to your word.” Mary trusted that God was with her and that she had nothing to fear. With all the uncertainties, questions and challenges of this past year, how have you, like Mary been able to trust that God was with you? Take a few minutes each day to pray the “Hail Mary” asking for Mary’s help to strengthen your trust in God.

Third Sunday of Advent

IS 61:10

I rejoice heartily in the LORD, in my God is the joy of my soul; for he has clothed me with a robe of salvation and wrapped me in a mantle of justice, like a bridegroom adorned with a diadem, like a bride bedecked with her jewels.

Family Information Form

Welcome to Saint Patrick Religious Education! Our annual registration period is June 1st - June 30th for students applying for virtual classroom placement. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis and the number of students we can accommodate will depend upon the number of catechist volunteers we are able to recruit for each grade. Please contact us if you would like to share your faith as a catechist!

Given the uncertainty of the times, Father Mario has asked us to move ALL our classes online so the students and volunteers who participate in our program can be confident that they are safe while learning and sharing their faith together. All grades, including sacramental preparation, will now take place either by homeschool or virtual classes.

New Options for Religious Education

Parents of children in grades 1-8 will have three options for classes:

• Attend regularly scheduled "Virtual Classes" with a catechist using Google Meet
• Complete Enhanced Homeschool lessons
• Our Traditional Homeschool program
Enhanced Homeschool lessons are the same lessons as those used for the virtual class, but parents teach their own child at their own pace.

For Confirmation I & II (Grades 9 & 10) ALL candidates will be required to complete the lessons that are posted online, but we hope to add small group discussions in the spring if we can get volunteers to help. These will be either virtual or live groups, depending on the state of the pandemic.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: staff@stpatreled.org.

New families and students are most welcome!

PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM ONLY ONCE. When you click the submit button at the end, a copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provide below. The email will contain a link for you to edit your responses if necessary.

Thank you!
